About Us

Nandadeepa Education and Rehabilitation Society (NERS)

Our main focus is to work with the most marginalized groups in society, employing a holistic and integrated approach to empower participant beneficiaries in all aspects of their lives.

The organization was established in 1999 with the primary objective of educating and rehabilitating disabled children. It began by identifying disabled children in both government and private schools across Malur taluk of Kolar district, providing them with education and rehabilitation services. Recognizing the challenges faced by severely handicapped, especially mentally retarded children, in regular schools, the organization initiated a free residential special school for mentally retarded children in Malur. Over time, the organization has expanded its social activities with support from state and central governments to empower and uplift disabled children, women, elderly individuals, orphans, and marginalized communities neglected by society.
